Our
group is been operational mainly in South Ayrshire although
we do have members in certain parts of North and East Ayrshire.
We
are a group of volunteers who give our time freely promoting
safe driving and the operation of an Advanced Driving Test
through our affiliation with the Institute of Advanced Motorists
(I.A.M.)
We
try to influence greater Road Safety by advising members on
how to examine their driving skills and habits, with a view
to increasing their driving skills by following the methods
taught to the Traffic Police.
The
course is free with no time limit and we encourage members
to take the I.A.M. test, then take further training to enable
them to pass on their knowledge and driving skills to others.
We
also have various talks and presentations and go to Tulliallan
for skid pan training.
